These creatures are wolves that have died hungry and now roam about the wastelands in astral form, seeking to fill the" now ever-empty bodies. All attacks are made in isolated areas. These creatures are able to force sleeping humans into the astral plane when there are five or more wolves concentrating on the act (defy danger vs. wisdom applicable). When humans are attacked in this other plane, their earthly bodies will show the damage of the wolves' fangs. If the wolves are killed or driven off their victims' spirits will revert back. Instinct: Ravage

Nehwon Cold WomanSolitary, Large, Stealthy, Magical, Devious, Hoarder, Amorphous
Acid (w[2d8] damage)20 HP1 armor
Ignores Armor, Far
Special Qualities: Charm, Paralyze, Amorphous

This creature is basically a huge white (black) pudding. Her powers include illusion generation and charm as per the spell. Fire does double damage to the creature. Cold, of course, does not bother her in the least. Her corrosive secretions dissolve any prey she cannot charm/seduce for mating. The Cold Woman lures persons into her lair with gems and jewelry, which are scattered about her cave. She then paralyzes them and inserts one of her eggs into the body. In a day's time the egg hatches and her spawn (a white pudding) eats the host. The egg is easily removable and the spawn will die if exposed to the air before hatching. In the Frozen Wastes, it is often said that the evil or greedy fall prey to her power most often. She always abandons a lair after laying one batch of eggs. Legend has it that there is only one Cold Woman at a time; all the rest await her death, and then the strongest one becomes the mother. Her young white (black) puddings are known as Cold Spawn and are also immune to the cold. Instinct: Mate

  • Seduce and paralyze
  • Implant fatal eggs
  • Dissolve
Ghoul, NehwonGroup, Cautious
Axe strike (d8 damage)6 HP2 armor
Close, Ignores Armor
Special Qualities: Transparent Flesh makes difficult to hit

These Newhon humanoids are almost totally transparent, save for their pinkish skeletons. Their unsavory diets make them unpopular with other races, but they rationalize cannibalism as an act of kindness by which muddy-fleshed humans are transformed into superior, crystal flesh.Ghouls never wear clothing nor any armor beyond the most minimal weapons-harness.Ghoulish fighters may use any weapon, but seem to have a preference for two-handed axes. The transparent nature of ghoul flesh makes it harder to locate their vital spots. Nehwon ghouls live in a great city on the shores of the Sea of Monsters, emerging periodically to make war upon human cities. They have very little fear of death – in Fafhrd’s opinion, this was because they were so close to skeletons that actually dying was only a short step away. Ghouls consider themselves paragons of civilization and enlightenment. Other races need to be civilized by being eaten. Humans are referred to as “mud-men” since ghouls consider normal flesh muddy and impure. Ghouls can occasionally overcome their cannibalistic natures to join human adventuring bands. They can be overbearing at times as they consider themselves more civilized than lesser, “barbaric”, races. Ghouls generally consume only the flesh of animals, but consider humans and other intelligent races to be a delicacy (consuming another ghoul is considered, at best, rather poor behavior). Instinct: Raid and consume lesser races

    Nehwon Snow SerpentSolitary, Large

A furred snow serpent is an immense snake covered in thick white fur. They range in length from 60 to 80 feet long, with a head sad to be “as big as an elk” or a horse. They also can be found on the higher altitudes of snow and ice-covered mountains peaks. There they feed on various specious of mountain goat and antelope (as well as any luckless travelers who happen to fall into their clutches.Snow serpents are ambush predators, counting on their coloration to render them effectively invisible amid the snow and ice of their home. They will often coil up into depressions or under overhangs, and then strike at any unwary prey that wanders into their range.Afterwards, the snow serpent will find some place secluded to sleep off and digest its meal. As prey is scarce in the mountains and icy wastes, snow snakes will try and take any likely prey item they encounter. Instinct: Consume prey

In their true form, Devourers resemble large iron statues, something like iron golems.
