To Star Trek fans in California

A note of interest to Star Trek fans in California: The Memorial Service for John D.F. Black, associate producer and story editor on the original Star Trek, will be held this coming Sunday, December 30, at 2 p.m. at Bastian Perrott, Oswald Mortuary Chapel, 18728 Parthenia St., Northridge, CA 91324.  This celebration of John's life and work is open to the public. John's widow, Mary Black, who had served as his secretary while he worked at Star Trek, has requested this celebration of John's life and work be open to Star Trek fans. It is her hope that those who were touched by his work as a writer, who took his words, "Space ... the final frontier," into their hearts, can have an opportunity to say farewell and send him wishes for a happy journey into John's own final frontier. For those who live in the Los Angeles area, this service will provide you with that opportunity.
